On March 19th, 2010, CARA Welfare Philippines held its first
CARA Golf Cup - Putt Fur a Cause, a fundraiser for animal welfare. We deem this event to have been a great success, with 66 players (54 men and 12 ladies) enjoying the prestigious greens of the Ayala Greenfields Golf Club, the camaraderie during the buffet lunch, short program, raffling of prizes and awarding of tournament winners.
We are happy to report that we exceeded our modest target of raising funds to help enable CARA to run the operation of its low cost spay and neuter clinic, as well as fund some of the rescue efforts of homeless and abused street animals.
The support of our sponsors as well as participants encourages us to do more.
