CARA Welfare Phils: Faith Fund

The Faith Fund was established in 2008 in memory of a very special cat. It is an account designed to pay expenses for the treatment of cats housed at our clinic whose injuries are exceptionally serious, requiring urgent medical care.

FAITH

Faith was rescued by one of our volunteers; her ear had been cut off with a knife, and her body badly burnt. She astoundingly trusted us to care for her even after all she had been through, hence her name Faith.

Our volunteer vet Dr Candice who treated Faith, established such a bond with her she adopted her; she couldn't have been in better hands.
We really hoped we would be able to post after photos of Faith in recovery, however it is with much sadness and regret we have to report that Faith was never able to recover from her severed ear.

Faith is a cat that we all truly admire.  She had the undeniable will to survive, but her body and medications couldn't heal her severed ear. Dr Candice consulted several other vets and was told that there are cases where it is impossible for such a large wound to heal, this was sadly such a case.

Let us all say a prayer for Faith and Dr Candice.  The time has come for Faith to move on to happiness and peace at the Rainbow Bridge.  Dear Faith, may your journey be filled with beautiful flowers and wind blown kisses from all those who rallied behind you.

Faith was put to sleep on 18th, June 2009

CARA relies completely upon private donations to care for such cases.

We hope you have a special place in your heart to make a donation to help other animals like Faith.
