TailRunners: The Metro Dog Run 2010 was produced by MyPetChannel.tv, and co-presented by Royal Canin dog food and Pet Express, the one-stop shop for all your dogs’ and cats’ needs.
This Run for a Cause was aimed to unite all pet lovers, breed
clubs, animal welfare groups, local government offices, and private
businesses, to push for more pet friendly places in the metro, to
advocate a more humane treatment of rescued and shelter animals in every
municipality, and to work for a Rabies-free Philippines.
No to dog pounds! Yes to animal shelters! Cities should employ a more active Responsible Pet Ownership program. With the pet industry boom in the country and the rising culture of “pet parenting” among Filipinos, more establishments – from restaurants to condominiums, and many other places – are now opening their doors to the furry companions of their customers. SM Mall of Asia is one of the few malls in the metro that has proclaimed to be Pet Friendly!
The run was open to all breeds and sizes over 1 year old.
