Nona: Saving The Best For Last

Irene shares about her adopted cat Nona:

“Nona is my sweet little girl. The good people of CARA found her during the typhoon “Nona” so they named her after it.

“It was my birthday and I was planning to gift myself with a new furbaby.  I visited the CARA clinic for my other rescued cat Den-den’s  checkup where they gladly showed me all the adoptable kitties.  All the cats were wonderful and lovely.  I thought I already made my choice when I was told there is still one more room to visit. There was Nona, who greeted us with a soft meow and a sweet glance. I held her in my arms and I felt the warmth in my heart. Deep within, I knew she is the one, the purrfect gift for me.  I decided not to change her name when we adopted her.

“Until now she’s still very sweet and playful. I often called her Ms. Prim-and-Proper because of her sophisticated gestures. She wakes me up with a soft bite on my feet when she’s hungry or a massage for my stomach.”
