June 7 Adopt-A-Pet

Brownie kiss - animal welfare in the Philippines - how to adopt pets

Stray dogs and cats wander the streets of Manila everyday. We bet you could not even count how frequently you see them. These strays, when given the proper care, could turn out to be the cutest furballs you can imagine. And when they are placed in loving and safe homes, they could give love and protection more than anyone could desire for.

Giving strays a chance and helping them find a home are just some of the main goals of CARA Welfare Philippines. On June 7, CARA had a successful Adopt-A-Pet event in the Fashion Walk of Greenbelt 5.

More than a dozen cats were present in the event and many of these friendly cats managed to get the “aww” reactions from onlookers. Some of CARA’s adoptable dogs were also at the event and were walked by volunteers to interact with potential adopters and their families.

inquiries

There were tons of inquiries on how to adopt, donate regularly, and volunteer for CARA. Many pet lovers also shared to the CARA volunteers some of their fond memories with their dogs and cats, and some of the booth visitors, we found out, have even rescued their own furbabies before! Many adoption applications have been submitted and as of writing, almost half of them have been approved. Our adoptable cats and dogs finally found their FUR-ever homes!

CARA will have another Adoption Event on August 9 at the Greenbelt 5 Fashionwalk in hopes of rehoming more cats and dogs.
