In Search of Loving Homes: Meet Our Cats in the South

Whistle, Ms. Lawd, Deetah, and Mr. Pogi are few of our community cats in a residential area in Parañaque City. Despite multiple negotiations and compromise, the property’s management wants to relocate them across the street — a high traffic area with no shelter or protection from the weather. These creatures are simply thriving to co-exist, so before they lose the only home they know, help us find them the loving furparents that they deserve.

All these cats are neutered/spayed, vaccinated with anti-rabies, and with spot-on treatment.

Meet Whistle!

We named him Whistle because of his soft, melodic meows. For the first few months, he kept his distance, only approaching for food before quickly darting away. The right side of his body bears a healed scar from light burns, possibly from hot water thrown at him at a young age. Despite his rough start in life, he has slowly warmed up to us over the months

Just a few weeks ago, Whistle was neutered and vaccinated. After enduring so much at such a young age, it is time for him to find a safe and loving home.

Meet Ms. Lawd!

When we first met her, she was crying out of hunger so loudly that we couldn’t ignore her, and the name just stuck. For the first few weeks, she would chew and meow simultaneously, not stopping until her bowl was empty. Even now, she follows us around, eagerly awaiting her daily dose of petting.

Before she was spayed, Ms. Lawd was the loving mom of Moonlight, a tuxedo kitten we tried to rescue from the pound last year. Sadly, Moonlight passed away while under quarantine the night before his adoption day. While Moonlight didn’t make it to his forever home, we remain hopeful that Ms. Lawd will get her fairytale ending in a loving home.

Meet Deetah!

We named her after the Filipino word “maldita” because of her feisty attitude when we first met her. Can you blame her? She had witnessed her friends being trapped and taken away while some cruel people would throw away her water bowl.

One year and several pounds later, Deetah has transformed into a sweet little girl who follows her hooman feeders around. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still a little bit feisty and untrusting, but once she warms up to you, you will never regret having her around. And yes, she’s our certified PUSPIG!

Meet Mr. Pogi!

Although he is one of the newest members of our community, his sweet and mellow attitude has quickly endeared him to everyone. He loves being petted and will voluntarily lie on his tummy to show his trust and affection.

When we first met Mr. Pogi, he had very little fur and was quite itchy. However, with proper medication and care, he now looks better. Now, it’s time to give him the safer, loving home he deserves.
