We still can’t believe that our dear LPB Sophia has crossed the rainbow bridge.
Sophia was brought to our partner vet two weeks ago to have her bloated stomach x-rayed. It revealed an enlarged heart which, most likely, caused the ascites (fluid buildup) seen on her stomach. We also posted her for Fundraising last week.
A few days ago, Sophia started to lose her appetite and became weaker and weaker. Last night, she gave in to her condition and lost the battle for life.
Sophia was truly a joy to us all–she was such a happy soul and a special ray of sunshine. She was also one of our pit bulls that was ready for adoption.
You will be greatly missed Sophia. Run free.
