The 3 best dog walking trails in Manila

As you well know, Manila isn’t made for walking. Yet as you creep forward in 5km per hour traffic, armed with this unsettling knowledge, rest assured that your furbabies needn’t suffer…

We’ve sauntered through the city to find the top 3 spots to walk your dog!

  1. Quezon Memorial Circle

Kill two birds with one stone – figuratively, not literally of course, how cruel! – and spend your Sunday at Quezon Memorial Circle for both family time and pooch workout time.

This bustling green lung will give you and sweet lil’ Valencia (or whatever your dog’s name is) enough room to get active, while the kids take a break from their Tamagochis (or whatever the littluns play with nowadays) and join the number of activities on offer in the park.

  1. Washington Sycip Park

This cosy spot isn’t exactly sprawling, but it’s a lush space to do some jogging circuits with your pooch. You work off your holiday feasting flab and your pupper gets some tongue-out, tail-a-flailing joy – everybody wins.

There’s even a wishing stone in the park where you can paint your hopes and dreams. And you know, make a second wish vicariously through your pooch by placing the brush in their paw and writing for them.

  1. La Mesa Ecopark

Do you and your furbaby spend your weekends binge eating over re-runs of Inspector Rex, wishing you too could have high-octane adventures? Well get your butt and your muttbutt down to La Mesa Ecopark and sweat your way through the Petron Fitness and Mountain Bike Trail while enjoying the incredible surrounds. You’ll be surprised this shady spot is still in Metro Manila!

The park also offers adrenaline filled treats like paintball, bungee fun, horseback riding, ziplining and bike riding, if you’d like to continue the excitement after your dog walk.

So there you have it, pup lovers. With the beast that is the silly season rearing it’s head, you might not have much time for your dog. However we hope this list gives you enough inspiration to treat your fuzzy angel this Christmas and in the New Year.
