Last May 24, our good friends at De La Salle University (DLSU) and Asia Pacific College (APC) organized an amazing fundraising event called Arf Arf Meow Meow at Eastwood City Mall for the benefit of CARA’s rescued dogs and cats. For the love of animals a student from DLSU named Fadzma Hussin with the help of her brother organized the event and invited some APC students to host.
It was an afternoon of true satisfaction for both humans and animals, as participants were given a chance to interact with each other, giving the animals a better shot at getting adopted.
The APC debate society represented by Ms. Therese Viray and Mr. Huang Sheng gave an uplifting welcome. CARA senior volunteers Mr. Eric Suguitan and Ms. Ria Ilano gave a talk on responsible pet ownership and how to properly take care of our dogs and cats.
There were games, contests and a lot of picture-taking with CARA’s animals. We are hoping there will be a good number of adoptions following this event. Take a look at our rescues–aren’t they adorable? Many of the animals were sick, injured and emaciated when found–but now, they are beautiful as only pets receiving tender loving care can be.
At the end of the day, we did this for the benefit of our furry friends. For those who participated and contributed, you have our thanks and we look forward to another event with you.
To APC, you have our heartfelt thanks! Please continue to support CARA.
