CARA at the Greenbelt Chapel

Greenbelt Chapel recently marked the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of animals and the environment, with its annual blessing of pets and ecology fair.

CARA Welfare was proud to be one of several organizations that set up booths along the chapel grounds to promote respect for animals and the environment. After the mass, pet parents and their dogs and cats assembled outside the chapel to receive their blessings from Rev. Fr. Jun Sescon.

Among the attendees was Bless, a 2-month old puppy born without a rectum and in need of corrective surgery. CARA volunteers brought Bless to a veterinary clinic immediately after the blessing ceremony.

Thank you to all who joined us to support CARA!!!

I passed by this event when me and some friends went to have coffee in Greenbelt. It was endearing to see a lot of really cute dogs who got a blessing from the priest.
