REMEMBER CHERIE? She’s the resilient dog rescued last year by the PCSO after spending a horrible week with a muzzle cruelly strapped to her face. Her story touched the hearts of many and last December, she’s been adopted!
Indeed, there’s no greater Christmas present than finding love and a new home. Cherie has been taken under the loving care of Miss Jackielyn Madalang Mijares.
DAY 1 OF RESCUE
She was rescued by the PCSO after spending a horrible week with a muzzle cruelly strapped to her face, leaving her unable to eat, drink or defend herself. She was found weak, starving, and dehydrated. She was abandoned and left to suffer in silence.

The cost of the surgery was ₱25,130 and we knew we couldn’t do it alone. A fundraiser post was immediately carried out to our social media pages. Thanks to all kind-hearted souls, we have reached the fundraising goal in just a span of two days and her surgery was scheduled.
Despite all these, we’ve seen how Cherie’s spirit remained firm. She’s still full of love and hope for a brighter future.
On September 21, 2024, she went through Femoral Head Ostectomy, a surgical procedure that removes the head and neck of the femur to treat hip pain and improve her mobility.
After her successful surgery and recovery, Cherie is now able to run, play, and live the life every dog deserves. We would like to thank her rescuer who adopted and loved her despite all that she’s been through. You are a true resemblance of hope!
