How excited are you for this weekend?
The Day of the Cat is billed as the biggest cat event of the year. It is organized by Royal Canin Philippines and will take place on Sunday, December 6, at Resorts World Manila. It starts at 2 pm and will wrap up at 6 pm. I’m happy to announce that CARA Welfare Philippines is going to be a part of it! We will have a booth where we shall sell CARA merchandise, books and gift items for fundraising. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to cover the medical care of our rescued dogs and cats.
If you don’t know it yet, CARA is run by volunteers and relies solely on donations. Funds are always low, so every now and then, we join events like this. We also need to reach as many people as possible to promote responsible pet ownership and to encourage people to spay/neuter their pets as well as to adopt instead of shop. There are millions of dogs and cats dumped in pounds every year. Most of them are euthanized–which means they are killed to free up space for more stray and abandoned pets.
Please let us stop this cruelty!
Anyway, if you plan on bringing your pets to the event please bring their updated vaccination card. They must also undergo a physical exam by a veterinarian. Visitors with pets must take the entrance by the driveway to parking (near BDO). This requirement is also applicable to cat exhibitors.
See you guys at the Day of the Cat (6 December, Resorts World Manila)!
