Do you remember Buddy, the malnourished, mangy, flea-infested, senior King Charles Spaniel mix a CARA volunteer found wandering the streets in Alabang back in 2012? He was adopted in January 2013, and his mom and dad became CARA volunteers soon after. According to them, he’s the sweetest, most loving dog- definite proof that you don’t need to raise a dog from a pup to get his loyalty, affection, and love. Here he is with his sister, Ginger, who often acts as his guide dog as he is almost completely blind. They both enjoy road trips, and are often brought along on family vacations, and to pet events.

Whenever they are taken out for a walk, or brought to a pet event, they are tethered to each other. Kimchi has very little vision left, and he would bump into things when in an unfamiliar place, so Ginger acts as a guide dog for him.
