SPOTTY Update 1:
We can’t even wait for #ThrowbackThursday to share this first update on Spotty, so here it is: Spotty can walk! smile emoticon
Spotty used to be very skinny and could only move about by dragging her hind legs. Upon her rescue, we brought her to our partner clinic Pet Project where the vets determined that Spotty’s injury was not old. (She may have been hit by a vehicle on the day she was seen by the reporter.)
After we posted about her, many of you sent donations which helped us provide Spotty with the care she needed, including rehab and lots of supplements to try to reverse the injury to her spine. Gradually, Spotty regained strength in her hind legs. Her huge appetite also helped a lot.
Check out her “now” photo. Spotty has a funny walk and sometimes her hind legs give under her weight but, yes, she CAN walk! She’s also healthy and happy and playful. Maraming, maraming salamat to everyone who helped her. This girl has come a long way and she could not have done it without you.
(Stay tuned for Update No. 2!)
