To encourage Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs in communities around the country is one of CARA’s main missions and we are always on the lookout for opportunities to do TNR projects that are sponsored (through your donations or via a private sponsorship). A few weeks ago a friend of CARA asked for our help. She had been feeding a large colony of cats in Taguig and wanted to have them spayed/neutered. She told us that she herself had already managed to save up funds for the project, but needed help in catching the cats. We happily agreed to support her.
Earlier today, our boys caught the first batch of cats, 10 in all, and they will be released after surgery and recovery.
We are very thankful for this private individual’s initiative to do a TNR project in her own community. We hope more people will support programs like this and encourage everyone to start similar TNR programs in their own neighborhood.
