Halloween parties are meant to scare, but CARA Welfare Phils’ Halloween Purr-ty was not even close — it was cuteness overload! Dogs and cats tried to frighten onlookers and guests (and failed) at The Venice Piazza grounds in Bonifacio Global City with their colorful costumes last October 31.
Armed with its goals to gather more donations to fund rescue missions and spay and neuter programs, CARA Welfare partnered with generous major sponsors such as National Geographic Channel, Megaworld, and Italpinas Euroasian Design and Eco-Development (ITPI) who made the event possible.
Thirty dogs and cats competed for the fashion show and only three emerged as top winners: Charlie dela Cruz and Yccolei, first place; Sarah Jane Lee and JJ, second place; and Charles Galang and Asia, third place. The winners brought home loot bags, while the first placer tandem got an additional gift certificate for a 3-days, 2-nights stay (with breakfast) at the Primavera Residences. Other giveaways were from Ovaltine, Whole Pet Kitchen, and Doodles Paw Couture.
Several brands participated in the event and setup booths for guests to visit as well. They were: Pet Centric & Dr. Sheng, Dogs and the City Pet Store, Dukit Clay, J. Tan Art, Cookie Rack PH, and Pup Culture. Meanwhile, Blue Penguin Photography featured a photo booth where families and friends could choose to donate P250 for CARA’s advocacy and get a printed picture with their pets in return.
