Walker: From Highway to Forever Home

Walker was found by a CARA volunteer on a busy highway near the Sta. Mesa district of Manila. He had no fur and was suffering from an itchy skin condition that left open sores and scabs all over his body.

With the help of two compassionate bystanders, Walker was rescued and brought to CARA’s partner clinic, MACE, for treatment.

A few months later, this beautiful boy has blossomed into a playful and confident dog and is now enjoying lots of love and attention from his new family.

Oh, and he loves cats, too!

Hello CARA Wellfare Philippines! I heard your success story re: Walker. Can I further contact your clinic partner MACE? I have this stray dog whom I am Temporarily adopting now (feeding, provide temporary shelter). Just like Walker before, he almost had no fur and is suffering from sores and scabs. He is also thin and malnourished, though surprisingly energetic, he always follow me whenever I go outside our house and is very jolly. I live in Makati near Vito Cruz extension. Sadly, most of the vets in our place are very expensive. I really would like to save this stray dog. Would like to ask if I could bring this stray dog to your clinic for consultation. I emailed my concern to a certain animal welfare and clinic group, sadly they are not replying up to now. Hoping for your reply. Thank you so much. I am willing to email you his pictures if given the opportunity.
