CARA Welfare Philippines reached out to animal enthusiasts once again by holding a pet adoption event last March 16th at Bonifacio High Street. Our lovable cats and dogs that have already undergone rehabilitation were showcased in the hopes of finding a family who will take good care of them.
Despite the summer season’s relentless humidity, the adoption event was a success! This only proved that the love and compassion of people who support animal welfare is even warmer than a hot, summer day. Even mere passersby spared some time to take a look at the irresistible animals rescued by CARA. A lot of them inquired about the adoption process, some gave donations and others signed up to be a volunteer member.
Among the super adorable feline group that graced the adoption event were Charlie, Dora, Boots, Clyde, Bali and Bonnie. They were in a cage donning their names, age, and a friendly reminder for onlookers not to poke them or rattle the cage as it will stress the cats. On the other hand, the canine group ready for adoption consisted of Bobby, Milo, Inday, Narra, Muffin and Lady. All of them wandered about the space provided by Hobbes and Landes for CARA, together with their handlers. Surely, the dogs received ample amounts of attention as all of them wore a scarf saying “Adopt me.”
Meanwhile, celebrity couple Carla Dunareanu and Christian Bautista also attended the event. They fostered a cat named Charlie and brought him to the adoption so that he can finally be taken to his forever home.
