Two significant occasions were celebrated in October: World Animal Day, and National Feral Cat Day. In keeping with CARA’s advocacy to help reduce dog and cat overpopulation, two charity “spay and neuter days” were offered at the CARA Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic.
On October 20, a total of 67 cats, and on October 25, a total of 25 dogs were spayed and neutered. Both were busy days for the CARA clinic staff and the veterinarian volunteers from the VIP Clinic of Mandaluyong. The vets, led by Dr. Dan Hiceta and Dr. Riza Zunio, together with Dr. Melay Pelayo, Dr. Andrea Capistrano, Dr. Rachel Crystal, Dr. Love Perez and Dr. Baby Abaricia worked tirelessly in support of CARA’s mission.
CARA volunteers likewise managed the registration, recovery and release.
Both days were truly fulfilling, especially for those who stayed in the clinic to wait for the release of the animals they had brought in for the procedure. many heartwarming rescue stories were swapped, and care tips exchanged.

Im actually keeping every milestone of my dogs journey from the day they were born, puppy years, to the first day of their rabies vaccination, etc up to now, and those memories were captured by pictures, and how I wish I can get to include the day they were fixed on your clinic. I would love to share it to my entire family and to my PALSmates as well.

I just get to know this site. Im a cat lover. Got 7 cats, all are puspins. Gusto ko po sanang ipa neuter\spay yung mga pusa ko para hindi na ko namomoroblema sa pagdami nila, if only i can afford. Haaay! 🙁
