For a change the weather was on our side and the sun was shining.
We
were fortunate to have lots of volunteer vets with us this
time, therefore we could offer anti-rabies and medical assistance. We
saw the normal unfortunate cases of mange, ticks and generally just
animals that are way too thin. Lots of educational issues, one
including a lady positively chocking her cat to death with a tight
string round its neck and hitting it with a flip flop because it wasn’t
behaving. After the removal of the string and explanation of why this
wasn’t a good idea from Dr Andrew, the cat left in a much happier state.

At this first area we did 140 anti-rabies shots and treated and endless stream of medical cases.
At
the second location we were even busier then the first. This time lots
of puppies; goodness we need a mobile spay and neuter unit! The female
dogs were so thin from feeding all their pups and not receiving the
correct nourishment themselves. Of course this is an endless cycle
unless the females are spayed but these people don’t have the money for
such things.
Queues and queues of people received rabies, medical assistance, collars/leashes and medical assistance.
