LOW COST SPAY & NEUTER

Due to a very generous benefactor, CARA opened its doors to their new premises in December 2009. The clinic is situated at Malate in Metro Manila - Location

CARA's goal is to make spay & neuter services affordable to everyone from all walks in life.
In making the operation within people's budgets, it will help towards curbing the over population, while preventing endless cruelty to unwanted off-spring, plus stopping the anti-social behavior that is associated with an unfixed animal. CARA's dream is to eventually own a fully equipped spay & neuter vehicle, to enable them to reach residents who are unable to afford the transport costs to travel to the clinic.

ELIGIBILITY FOR LOW COST SERVICES

Animals must be local or rescued and at least 6 months old.

Spaying and neutering carries the risks normally associated with general anesthesia and surgery. Although the spay surgery is very routine, it is still a major abdominal operation for the females.

Therefore the cat or dog must be healthy, well fed and with no signs of illness. If your pet is showing any signs of illness such as coughing, sneezing, runny eyes, or diarrhea it will be declined for surgery.

SURGERY

Surgery is usually on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday depending on availability of the volunteer vet.

An additional fee of P300 will be applied to females in their 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

Please read Pre & Post op care to prepare for the operation. All spay and neuter operations include complimentary ear cleaning and nail trimming.

The CARA clinic does not provide additional safety precautions such as pre-anesthetic blood test in our low cost rate. This procedures is very expensive and not affordable to the majority of our clientele. However it is available at the clinic below:

Please note: CARA does not run an animal shelter at this clinic. All CARA rescue cats are kept in houses of our members who rescue them. Exceptional cases are housed at the clinic awaiting adoption.

BOARDING FACILITY:

If you are travelling and need care for your cat while you are away, the CARA clinic offers boarding facilities for cats.
We have staff experienced in taking care of cats that are present 24 hours at our clinic.
Sorry we do not have the facilities to board dogs.

Drop off and pick up is Mon - Sat from 9am to 6pm

Cost of boarding is Peso 200 per cat/day
